The second half of the year begins

Well the week, and the year for that matter, has gotten away from me. I managed to make it through the sail on Saturday, dinner out with my dad, and a full and crazy day on Sunday with only a few casualties.

While I was all raw foods up to dinner on Saturday, we went out for Chinese and I ordered a vegan dish, they did not have brown rice or gluten-free soy sauce, so I went a little off the wagon.  Additionally, I ordered tofu which I didn’t overeat as I try not to eat tofu because it is processed so much and because of the estrogen.

Sunday night I had a moment of weakness at Sullivans and ate their pesto-risotto balls (which had cheese and white rice in them) and a bite of my husband’s Caprese salad… so mozzarella.  I decided right then and there it is a good thing I am going back to the cleanse again to recenter myself.

Monday and Tuesday were crazy days for work.  I ended up eating white rice and again on Monday night when he brought home chinese.  I went so long without white rice!!!!  Ahhhh!

Wednesday I tried to stay all raw to make up for it but then a late night at work (again) resulted in a trip to Chilis and I got guacamole and corn chips.  Yes, you can say I feel like I have totally derailed.  It’s time to re-group.  Life is a journey, though, so I just need to correct my steering and trim my sails better to my heading.  It is nice to have fun along the way!

Upcoming…

On the Beachbody forums there is a Cinderella Challenge (the same one I participated in during my April cleanse) from July 5-July 31.  I am participating in that once again.  It is the same general principles as the cleanse I am doing with Karma Chow from July 12 to August 11 so they will work together.  It essentially means I am cleansing for 37 days instead of 30.  This also means my weight loss goal of 10 pounds of fat should work well.

Vega Protein

Vega Proteins

I have decided to try a new protein, Vega, simply because I do not have to order it online and have it shipped from Canada.  It also has much of the maca and greens that I was adding into my shakes in it already, so it is a one scoop and less mess solution.  I will not be starting it until I have finished the other stuff, so I will report later on how I like it and how I feel.

So much is going on in my life at this point (thus missing days of posting) that I have decided to try to keep this blog as just about diet and exercise and start a new blog for my business and career changes.  I will keep you all posted on that blog as I figure and roll it out.

Here I will go back to posting daily meals (it really helped me focus) and my workouts, how my body is reacting and changing and the success I make in the areas of health and fitness.  I have a lot of challenges ahead in these areas, and a lot of goals to reach by September and October, so I need this space to really retain focus and drive to reach all of those goals.
