Today’s Meal Plan:
- Breakfast: Bob’s Red Mill Mighty Tasty Hot Cereal with Cinnamon, 1 T coconut cream, Blueberries, and raw Sunflower Seeds
- Snack: Vegan Protein Shake with Maca and greens
- Lunch: Mexican Rice, Green salad
- Snack: Cinnamon Almonds
- Dinner: Raw Mushroom Soup (Raw Food Fast Food) and green salad, coconut cream and berries
Mostly raw, I would say 80/20.
Finally a truly mostly raw day!!!!!!! If I had done fruit for breakfast instead of cereal it just may well have been 99%. The shake is the only non raw thing other than the cereal! YAY FOR ME!!!
I think I am going to do Sunday 100% raw and see how that goes. I will have fruit for breakfast and will have time to do food prep. It should go well.
Last night I lost some sleep due to a house alarm going off at 3 AM, so I am tired but I still feel better than normal. I also started my cycle today and that feels better than normal, so I am seeing improvements in my health, I think. My skin seems better, too, I have to remember to ask hubby if he notices a difference. It has been two weeks since I started, so I am contemplating the things I notice. I am more regular, I sleep more soundly and have more vivid dreams, I feel healthier. No scale so I don’t know about the weight loss, but I DO see a difference in the TEXTURE of my skin. It is much smoother and softer, less dimpling in the fatty places. It has improved that a lot.
I made it though parents house with little to no fan-fare. They were so preoccupied they didn’t really ask about the no meat no dairy, and they don’t really eat bread so it wasn’t a topic. I brought the coconut cream and berries (which my 6 year old niece LOVED) so I was sure to contribute a sugar free dessert, and mom assumed hearing what I wasn’t eating I wouldn’t want wine, which was nice. They eat a lot of veggies, so all I had to pass on was the cauliflower (butter) but I had it for lunch anyway. It was nice. I left the rest of the berries and coconut cream so my niece could have the rest today. I’ll have to let her mom know about the recipe so she can make it when she does her raw food months, that way she can share her food with the family!
I struggled today with restarting cardio at lunches (during work) because I have just started feeling really good and I was already tired, but I went anyway. I decided I could just walk, which is what I did. I had Cardio X tonight so I didn’t want to bang on the knee first time out after 2 weeks. I just took a nice walk on the treadmill and thought about how I felt. It seemed fine, so back at it tomorrow.
Cardio X was intense. I pushed through and felt great when it was over. My chest was so sore from Chest & Back that it made the yoga hard. Plank the day after chest should be illegal.
The raw mushroom soup was good, but pretty earthy. Not my favorite recipe. I also felt like a giant balloon after I ate it for about an hour, so I am not sure I will make it again. We’ll see.
