Mostly raw, I would say 60/40.
Sinuses are still a factor. It isn’t an all out sinus infection, which I am used to, but just pain behind the eyes and center of my forehead that comes and goes. Most of last night I had the pain and woke up with it this AM. I felt that pain most of the day, not unbearable, but not my ‘perfect self’. I don’t think it is detox, I think I am fighting being sick. Considering how my sinuses normally are in the spring, I will take this any day… I just wish I was feeling better.
I hurt my left foot bog toe doing sun salutations on Saturday and it REALLY hurts today, like I sprained it or jammed it. Who hurts their big toe??? It hurts to walk. I will see how Yoga is tonight. If it hurts most of the poses are a no-go. I would rather go easy on it today and let it rest than push it and make it worse and be able to work out less this week… I start week 9 after all!
I wrote last night that the fears are subsiding and they are. I seem to be getting into the habit and can prepare meals on Sunday so that I can eat properly throughout the week. It is a mind-set really, and I just have to fall into a habit with it. This is an ongoing process and I still need to find my legs. Eating the Standard American Diet (SAD) is easy… the food you grew up with, the processed food, recipes you know by heart, the quick, run home and put dinner on the table diet is easier to plan for, I have been doing it my whole life. This raw stuff takes some more serious pre-planning. Last night I soaked cashews, for example, to make coconut cream tonight. I wanted to make it last night but had not soaked any nuts so I was stuck. I think that more formal meal planning will help me a lot with this diet but finding a way to do it that works with my lifestyle has become my new quest.
Tonight I made raw coconut cream. WOW! So delicious!
My husband loved it, too!
I have a lot of raw recipes that all for these coconuts. They are a pain to get the meat out, but now that I know it can replace cream so perfectly I will try lots more recipes. I will just save them for weekends when I have time to hammer away!
