When you feel like it, you can write a great blog post. It can be thoughtful, coherent, and even inspirational. It can have good grammar, correct spelling, and make you sound relatively intelligent. You read it back to yourself and you need a cigarette. Just kidding.
When you DON’T feel like writing a blog, well, bad things can happen. And it can be painful.
I am a contributing blogger and have about 15 blogs in process about my wedding a few years ago. All of them sound forced and boring. I keep revisiting them and trying to get them ready to at least have the place I contribute them to review them and all I end up being is embarrassed because I don’t like them. I guess I need to get in a wedding kind of mood and get them cranked out soon! Wine maybe? I wish I could drink that!
So here is my start of Round 1, Week 6, Day 1 (R1W6D1 as P90xers do it) of P90X Lean. It will be painful ’cause I am so not in the mood… but alas I go on.
I am not weighing myself AT ALL until day 60. I told the scale to f-off. Not because I am not losing, I am losing inches, but because I tend to be a little on the OCD side and am checking it TOO much.
I also read that people have a tendency NOT to lose on phase 2 of P90X which I am smack in the middle of doing. Today begins the second week of three for phase 2. I have this week, one more week of lifting, then recovery week, then weigh in. So that is just that.
I have been researching alkalinity and vegetable proteins so that I can stop eating so much animal protein. I am a little scared to make this leap but I am going to get some recipes together and make the jump to eating fewer turkey burgers and eating more beans. My poor friends.
I am excited though, cause even getting more fit and eating this clean I still get acid reflux which means my system is too acidic. I drink a gallon of water a day, too! I cannot imagine how people feel that drink soda and coffee all the time. I have kicked coffee again and I haven’t had more than one soda in the last 365days (I get root beer cravings but that has stopped, too).
My cousin Amanda started blogging, too… I am excited to read her progress. She may be braver than I and post photos. You all ain’t seeing my pics until I get ripped or really brave. Do body part photos in a blog that mentions sex make it porn? I hope not.
I know I will be able to complete even more of the workouts this week (I was amazed last week how much better I did) and will push for the best while protecting my knee and triceps. Focus on the muscle and lose the scale someone told me. So I shall.
Week 6 muscle, here I come!!! Going to go BRING IT!
