Sort of…
Tonight is X-Stretch (last night of week 1) and I cannot wait. I am tired today from Kenpo last night (and I got enough sleep!) so a nice stretch sounds great.
I could NOT do Legs and Back on Sat. Ok, I could do Back but not Legs. My knee cannot withstand that workout. So my coach suggested Chest and Back instead. I am going to do that for the next two weeks and see how that goes, hopefully well.
I am struggling a little bit with the scale numbers this week. I have a feeling I will not have lost much. I hope that it is because I am making muscles, but it still scares me. I really need to lose fat so badly. I am being sure to use my measurements as well as the scale so I don’t freak out so much if the scale doesn’t move one week. I know per my bugg I have maintained enough of a deficit to lose 3 pounds of body fat, but because I can tell I am building muscle (things are definitely growing and getting tighter) I may not see a huge reflection in the numbers. I need the muscle to increase my metabolism so I know this is still a step forward in my journey.
I am also using progress pics and am going to take them every week. This will help me mentally as well. There are people on the Bodybugg site losing 30 pounds a month like on The Biggest Loser and I have to remind myself that I need to lose at a healthy rate and within my capabilities. As long as I do my best and as Tony says bring the best to the workout with my fitness level THAT DAY then I will still be successful.
I really wanted to be at my goal on Tuesday and will continue attacking cardio today to try to do that, but I will not be upset if I am not there yet as long as I am doing my best and not cheating. I have not been, so I feel really good.
Today is a worried day, so I want to blog about it so I can learn from this experience and when I look back have a clear picture of where I was at for all the stages of this journey to fitness. I will succeed, I just have to keep working.
I can tell a difference in my fitness in just one week. I am thrilled. I also started playing around with the other Turbo Jam Cardio options and love them as well. I did Fat Blaster on Sunday AM (30 min, HIIT) and loved it. I can see myself adding that here and there to try to increase my fat loss.
I need to hit a deficit today and then hop on the scale and take my measurements and photos tomorrow and I will know how I did. I’ll post it, no worries.
